Biography

Stan Gunn currently serves as the executive director for information technology at the University of Virginia Library. Prior to arriving at UVA, Stan served for nine years as the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Austin Community College. Prior to that he was a program manager in the Global Services division of IBM, and the Chief Information Officer for a state agency in Texas. He has also worked as the computer training coordinator for the University of Texas System, a freelance journalist, a systems analyst, a programmer, a database administrator, and a network manager. In addition, he has served as an associate faculty member at the University of Texas School
of Information since 1999.
