COURSE NOTES

The course teaches natural language processing and statistics. As such it provides training in the programming languages R and Python. Discussions and readings will foster critique of the process of matching up data, research questions, and methods of analysis. The course will benefit anybody working with and studying text, especially linguists and digital humanities scholars.

Graduate standing.
