iSchool Faculty Jacek Gwizdka was honored by The Kosciuszko Foundation (a premier American organization promoting interactions between the US and Poland) as an Eminent Scientist of Polish Origin and Ancestry and recognized by them as Distinguished Fellow of their Collegium Eminent Scientists.
The full list includes four Nobel laureates, 22 Members of the Polish Academy of Sciences and several Members of the US Academy of Sciences. The selection criteria include a combination of: professorship/tenure, leadership, number of publications, number of citations (discipline dependent), number of patents, h-index, and an advanced scientific career.
