I. Archives Week 2006

Panel: Two archivists have committed to participate in the panel, but we are still looking for a scholar to be the third panelist. Send suggestions to Sarah.

Speaker Gifts: gift baskets for the three panelists and something else for the keynote speaker.

Food Committee Update: Sidney presented food estimates. We will have a formal reception (finger foods, sandwiches, drinks) after the keynote and a less formal one on Thursday after the panel (cookies, cheese/crackers, drinks).

Advertising Committee Update: Ed will print samples of fliers and price options. Will also send an electronic version to Hope for the website.

Flier Distribution: Fliers to be printed by October 15. SAA members will volunteer to help paste labels and distribute fliers around campus and town (archives, museums, and women's organizations). Dr. Gracy also suggested that we contact news outlets (e.g., tv). Ben has already written press releases and sent them to several radio stations.
