Adding an event to the Events Calendar

Introduction

The Event Calendar that appears on the iSchool homepage is now populated by events sumbitted to the Horde application suite (a.k.a. the Horde) installed on the main iSchool server. Access to add, remove and edit events from the Horde calendar is limited to a small number of iSchool administrators and staff. This short tutorial will guide staff members with permission to edit the calendear through the process.

Getting Started

Before you begin you must have

  1. an account on the iSchool server
  2. permission to access the Horde events calendar
To set up an iSchool account if you do not have one, please refer to the account information page on the iSchool homepage. If you do not have permission to access the events calendar and have been asked to add, edit or remove events, please contact broot@ischool.utexas.edu.
