July 1996: At 1996 ALA Annual/New York City, ALA Council charges the Council Committee on Minority Concerns and Cultural Diversity to lead a campaign to raise $1,000,000 for a Minority Scholarship Endowment. Gloria Leonard Chairs the CCMCCD.
