POSSIBLE OUT-OF-STATE TUITION ASSISTANCE.
Texas and Oklahoma are members with Florida in the Southern Regional Education Board's Academic Common Market (ACM). If residents of Texas and Oklahoma can achieve ACM certification their state, they will be
eligible to pay only in-state tuition rates at FSU. Contact the appropriate state ACM coordinator to find out about the certification process:

If students cannot attain ACM certification, here is another possibility for reduced tuition for distance-learning students: The FSU Office for Distributed and Distance Learning (ODDL), anticipates it will be able to offer a waiver of the out-of-state portion of tuition to eligible distance learners for Fall 2004-Summer 2005.

In Fall 03 and Spring 04, the ODDL waiver saved each eligible distance learner $509.08 per credit hour. Tuition will rise for academic year Fall 2004-Summer 2005 (but we do not yet know by how much). As tuition rises, the ODDL waiver amount will rise, too.

ODDL hopes this waiver will be available indefinitely, but as with any state-funded university, our state legislature and/or Board of Trustees could stop the waiver at any time in the future due to budget constraints.

The ODDL definition of eligibility is, the student must:
*Be a non-Florida resident and U.S. Citizen, OR
*Be a non-Florida resident and a Resident Alien, AND
*Reside outside the State of Florida. If you move to Florida at any time during your graduate program, you immediately become ineligible for this waiver.
*Be fully admitted to a degree-seeking program in our School. Special (non-degree-seeking) students are not eligible to seek this waiver.

You must request this waiver anew every term of your enrollment.
