All interested persons are invited to register for the workshop even if they do not submit a paper but papers are encouraged to focus discussion and increase participation. We invite submissions on a broad range of topics at the intersection of ubiquitous computing and digital libraries. Position papers as well as those reporting on work in progress are welcome. Sample topics include but are not limited to the emerging information environment that constitutes:
- mobile devices, tabletop displays, wall displays
- using these displays in conjunction with traditional desktop and notebook PCs
to address topics in the digital libraries domain, including but not limited to:
- evaluation, interfaces, access, management, creation, policies
- document and collection curation
- information behavior and needs, user modeling
- evaluation of existing environments
- theoretical models
- system architectures
- social-technical models
- collaborative and participatory information environments
- policies and workflows
- collection visualization
- retrieval and browsing
- user interfaces
- applications in areas such as education, scholarly communication
- domain-specific applications in areas such as Chemistry, Biology, or public health

The submitted papers will be assessed for their relevance to the workshop and a limited number of papers will be selected for presentation at the workshop. Selected papers will be distributed to attendees at the workshop and made available for long-term access through publication in a special issue of the IEEE-TCDL Bulletin.
