Sample Files from the National Oral History Program of Retiring/Retired Librarians
The interviews in this collection are being made available using
Glifos-social media, a MediaWiki based system that allows communities to
enrich media collections by adding tightly integrated table of contents and
transcripts, as well as scholarly content and discussion.
The end result is a rich collection where users can locate and watch any
segment within any media very easily.
This version also requires Google Earth to access the geographic information.
For an example of what a completed collection will look like, please visit the School of Information research site for "The Mike Wallace Interview", a fully searchable collection of video interviews from 1957-58, made possible by a collaboration with the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas.
