The Heritage School

Heritage School

The Heritage School is located in Harare, Zimbabwe and serves approximately 1000 students.  The school is divided into two departments: the Primary Department (ages 2-12) and the Secondary Department (ages 13-18).  The Primary School opened in January 1998, and the Secondary school was built between 1998 and 200 to accommodate the growing number of students.  The Heritage School is committed to providing education of the highest quality to its students.
At the Heritage School, students in the lower classes visit the school library at least twice a week for 40 minutes or more as part of their English language lessons.  They also go to the library to read and borrow fiction books.

The Heritage School has two wonderful events to celebrate the cultures of their students.   The first is “Culture Day”, where the students wear their cultural attire, dramatize and recite poetry in local languages, and sing, play, and dance to traditional music.  The second is a special evening where the students and their families share their traditional food and serve it as they do at home.
