My research interests span computer vision, human computation, crowdsourcing, applied machine learning, medical image analysis, and biomedical image analysis.
I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Texas at Austin in Dr. Kristen Grauman's group in 2015-2017 and completed my PhD at Boston University in the Image and Video Computing Group under the supervision of Dr. Margrit Betke. In 2007-2010, I worked at Boulder Imaging building custom, high performance, multi-camera recording and analysis systems for military, industrial, and academic applications. From 2005-2007, I worked at Raytheon developing software for satellite systems. I earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering and MS in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005, with my thesis on ultrasound imaging. My research has been recognized with the 2015 Researcher Excellence Award from the Boston University computer science department, 2014 Best Paper Award for Innovative Idea at MICCAI IMIC, and 2013 Best Paper Award at WACV.
- We won the Lorentz-eScience Competition with our proposal for the "Crowdsourcing for Medical Image Analysis" workshop. The event will take place July 2018. More details to follow soon.
- Our paper on predicting a person's vulnerability to believe political claims is accepted to appear at HCOMP 2017.
- I will be serving on the organizing committee for CVPR 2018 as a Student Volunteer Chair.
