Creating Your Site

Note: A Dreamweaver 4 workspace view was used to create this tutorial.

Dreamweaver can simplify many of the complexities involved with creating a web page or site. However, in order to utilize all of the functionality of Dreamweaver, a site must be created.

  • Open Dreamweaver MX (the handout and video use the Dreamweaver 4 workspace option.)

  • From the main toolbar in the "Untitled Document" window, choose Site > New Site.

  • A wizard will appear guiding you through the rest of the process. (Note: if you are having difficulty working through the wizard, refer to the handout or video for further explanation of the steps.)
