The Perspective Talk Series is a weekly talk series that features local-area practicing information professionals, many of whom are UT iSchool alumni. Each Thursday, one or more practicing information professionals from diverse subject-areas and jobs will come talk with students about their careers. A primary goal of this talk series is to assist our Masters students in learning more about diverse professions in the information field and the range of career paths open to them after graduation.

The talks will introduce each profession and discuss important knowledge and skills involved, both for gaining entry-level positions and in building a foundation for a long-term, successful career. The speaker may mention internship and full-time opportunities offered by their organization, and there will typically be opportunities for one-on-one interaction with the speaker after each session concludes.

Note: The talk series is especially designed for our Masters students, but anyone interested is welcome to attend.

When: Every Thursday
Time: 12:00pm - 1pm
Location: UTA 1.208
