The Texas iSchool ranks in the top 10 among information schools worldwide, according to a new report.
On April 3, the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) announced The University of Texas at Austin School of Information is internationally positioned at No. 7 for schools of information science and library science.
CWUR publishes academic rankings of global universities. For the first time this year, the center also ranked universities in 227 subject categories based on the number of research articles in top-tier journals.
UT Austin ranked in the top 10 in 18 subject areas, 28th among more than 26,000 degree-granting institutions of higher education worldwide.
The announcement comes three weeks after U.S. News & World Report released its “2018 Best Graduate Schools,” which ranked the Texas iSchool in the top five of colleges and schools of library and information studies in the United States.
