Study of the properties and behavior of information. Technology for information processing and management.
Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
May be repeated for credit when the topics vary.
Introduction to Machine Learning
This class will cover fundamental and state-of-art machine learning concepts and tools that are applied in a variety of fields including computer vision and natural language processing. Topics covered will include regression, classification, and feature selection/learning. Classes will be a mix of lectures and hands-on training to develop practical skills in building intelligent systems.
