Description:
May be repeated for credit when the topics vary. Topics covered vary according to interests and objectives of students enrolled and the state of resources in selected fields. May deal with problems and trends related to information resources and services.

Selection, evaluation and use of books and other media of interest to adult audiences. Surveys popular culture and its relationship to libraries, research on adult popular reading, literary formula, history of genre, classic titles and authors, genre publishers, guidance to adult readers, marketing, and measuring effectiveness of library service. Extensive reading of genre literature and writings about popular literature.
