Interested the power of the small press and community zinsters? Curious to learn about the organization and preservation of fringe materials from underground voices?

Come get radical with Jennifer Hecker. An archivist with over a decade of experience processing collections of literary, personal, and organizational papers, Hecker is the founding director of Town Talk Library (TTL), which focuses on zine- and self-publishing-related outreach via pop-up events and zine workshops, as well as research projects including the Austin Fanzine Project.

Hecker will share a presentation about zines, zine libraries, and relevant issues like specific metadata challenges, opportunities for information literacy instruction, using zines to build more inclusive collections, and doing institutional outreach with zines.
