Give hours - Help the community - Make connections - Show your iSchool spirit
Philanthropy is vital to the School of Information. Each year foundations, corporations and hundreds of individuals support the school financially as well as with gifts of their time through volunteering. These donors give back through financial gifts that range from an annual donation of $5, to gifts of thousands. The school also has more than 30 volunteer advisory council members who are committed to its advancement, and countless other volunteers who come back to give their time in the classroom as well as in our career services office. In celebration of the support these donors provide the school, iSchool students are kicking off the 7th annual iSchool iGive Campaign.
When: August 22nd - December 8th
To kick off our 8th annual iGive Campaign, students are challenging themselves to give back by volunteering a minimum of two hours of volunteer service to any organization during the fall semester.
Check out the giving our students have done over the years!
iSchool students volunteer for a wide range of organizations and causes. Some chose to pursue opportunities related to their career interests in libraries, archives, and museums, while others devoted time to political campaigns, the Humane Society, the Girl Scouts, and many other non-profit and volunteer efforts.
Where can I find opportunities?
- Opportunities will be listed in the iSchool Career Services Manager
- If you already volunteer or have found your own opportunity, that is fine too. Just remember to log your hours.
How will I log my hours?
