About UT ASIS&T
The UT Austin student chapter of ASIS&T seeks to promote the professional and academic development of all UT students working in the fields of information science. We sponsor lectures, panel discussions and networking opportunities with practitioners in the field. We also provide various resources, career advice and much more. We are currently focusing on areas such as information architecture, user-centered design, and usability.
The American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) is a nonprofit professional society founded in 1937 for scientific, literary, and educational purposes and is dedicated to the creation, organization, dissemination and application of knowledge concerning information and its transfer.
