Military and Government Collection: Subject and Publication Authority Files

This exercise will give you some additional practice searching the Mililtary and Government Collection.
Locate the "Subjects" and "Publications" tabs at the top of the page. Select "Subjects" to browse through the "Subject Authority Files" of valid Subject terms. Select the "Publications" tab to browse through the "Publication Authority Files," which is the complete list of publication titles included in the database.
Try a few of your own searches, then use each of these search functions to help you answer the following questions.
In the Subject Authority File, which of the following is NOT a recognized extension of the subject term, Treaties?

In the Publication Authority File, I want to locate publications that include the term "combat" in the title of the Publication, but not the subject. To do this, I need to:
Enter "combat" in the Browse box, and click "Alphabetical."
Enter "combat" in the Browse box, and select "Match any words."
Enter "combat" in the Browse box and select "Alphabetical" and "Match any words."
Scroll through every page of Publication titles in the database until I found every occurrence of the word "combat."
Enter "combat" in the Browse box and choose "By subject and description."
