TRANSLATION

"Water was poured around me to the soul
the lowest deep compressed me my Lord went down."

DESCRIPTION

The illustrations appear within the text. All depict a storm at sea. The whole illustration consists of three scenes depicting Jonah cast into the sea and swallowed by a whale, Jonah in the belly of the whale, and Jonah vomited out from the whale.
The red inscription states "And the chief blamed Jonah and threw him into the sea and the Lord God had a great fish swallow Jonah."
