(or how i spent my christmas vacation) |
On December 30, 2003, I took the overnight bus from Austin, Texas, to San Luis de la Paz, Mexico, with my friends Caroline and Elizabeth, to attend Stuart & Araceli's wedding on January 2, 2004. After the wedding reception, we bussed to Guanajuato, about three hours away. Caroline and Elizabeth left the next day to return to Austin, but I stayed in Guanajuato for a few days, and then made my way to Zacatecas, where I spent almost two weeks, before taking a seven hour bus trip to Monterrey, and then the overnight bus to Austin, arriving at 5 am, in plenty of time for work that day at 8:30 am.
