About Me
I recently finished my Masters in Information Studies at the University of Texas at Austin's School of Information. Prior to my tenure here, I received my Masters in Art History at the University of California, Riverside and my Bachelors in Art and Art History at Colorado State University.
After having worked in a variety of institutional and non-profit settings, I found that my strengths and passions lie with educational and instructional outreach, in both the library and classroom settings; and the preservation of our cultural heritage and its historical contexts through digital repositories and digitization initiatives.
Without outreach and education about the collections which strive to preserve our cultural heritage, digitization initiatives would lack the funding, contribution, and support base needed for their survival. Art history and information science combine to strengthen my theoretical and practical base.
