We're all members of the information science community, and we're all graduate students, so it should come as little surprise that iSchoolers like to reach out and keep each other posted on opportunities, events, interesting news, etc. 
Besides the standard array of dry-erase & bulletin boards scattered throughout the building, two of our most important communication outlets are: a variety of email listservs, and four large flat-panel monitors (generously donated to the iSchool in 2011) that grace the primary congregation areas on the ground and fifth floors of the iSchool.
