I'm Ron Pollock, Director of Career Services, School of Information, The University of Texas at Austin. I became the Director of Career Services in November, 1999. In addition, I also teach Project Management and Benchmarking courses for the Master of Quality Systems Management for the national Graduate School. I have led an interesting life, with a diverse employment background and a number of personal interests that keep me busy away from work. A little about myself:
Over the last several years, I have been active in the quality management arena, currently serving as a judge for The University of Texas Center for Performance Excellence and having served as an examiner for the Greater Austin Quality Council and the Department of the Army. I was an instructor for the Austin Quality Institute at Austin Community College, teaching Fundamentals of Quality, Malcolm Baldrige Criteria, and Business Process Solutions. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and a Master of Library and Information Science degree, with specialization in organizational information management, from the School of Information, The University of Texas at Austin. |
