Research Interests
Currently my main research interests are 1) collaborative groups and technology use and 2) the behavioral impacts of portable technologies, however I am always interested in any topics related to the design and use of technology

Bio
Lisa is currently working on her proposal/dissertation titled "Physically Present, Mentally Absent: Technology Use in Face-to-Face Meetings." She is interested in understanding how the use of portable technologies is both an enhancement and a distraction to team meetings, in particular by focusing on the different ways people manage the amount of presence they show to others. Her previous research project with Dr. Dillon studied the effects of Microsoft ClearType on reading speed and comprehension, and before that she spent her time as a user interface designer in the Bay Area.
