Bio
Mariela Gunn started her academic endeavors in the American University in Bulgaria, where she studies Business Administration for close to two years before discovering her interest in literature. Promptly switching her major to English, she enjoyed taking coursework ranging from literary theory to creative writing. In 2000, Mariela came to the U.S. to pursue an MA in English at Kansas State University. Upon completion of her graduate degree, Mariela started the Master's program at the School of Information in the University of Texas at Austin. She lingered in the program long enough to realize that she wanted to pursue further coursework and research in the field of Information Studies. As a result, Mariela Gunn is currently a doctoral student, having started the Ph.D. program in fall 2005. Alongside her academic pursuits, Mariela Gunn has been teaching composition courses both at the Department of English in Kansas State University and at the Division of Rhetoric and Composition in the University of Texas at Austin.
