This course will provide an introduction to the use of the Internet as a medium for information, research, communication, and multi-media resources. Subjects such as email, computer networks, history of the web, use of search engines, and web publishing will be covered. The student will also be introduced to larger issues such as governance, ethics, privacy, community, and freedom of expression.
