pages. Assignment #1 explained.
February 4 Search Engines on the Internet. Group exercise in
searching.
February 11 Discussion of the history of the Internet, how
networks and the Internet work, and how the web came
to be. An article from the New York Times will be handed
out in class to be read by next week. Hands-on exercise: How to create an introductory web page.
February 18 Privacy on the Internet--how safe is our
information in the digital age? Make sure you've read the article

handed out in class last week.
