For this assignment you will be analyzing the design of web pages.
Specifically, you will find one page that you think is well-designed
and one that you believe is poorly designed. Then, using both the
criteria we discussed in class and your own thoughts on what makes an
effective web site, you will detail the advantages and disadvantages of
both. Since no web site is perfect (or perfectly bad) you will be expected
to provide both positive and negative criticism of each.
Your paper should have a short introduction followed by a description
of the two sites, detailing both their strengths and weaknesses. You
should also provide a short conclusion summarizing what you have
learned about web page design. The length should be around 3-5 pages.
Your grade will be based on both the content of
your paper and it's appearance. Please pay attention to such fundamentals
as spelling, grammar, and sentence construction. Sloppy or careless work
will be graded down.
