Favorite Firefox Add-Ons
- Adbolck — if you’re hell-bent on an ad-less Web, this extension let's you filter anything on a site and block it from view.
- Fangs — Fangs is a screen reader emulator. If you don't have JAWS available, you can use Fangs to read what your page sounds like in a screen reader. Enlightening! Updated version available from the author.
- HTML Validator — provides a quick way to see if a page is valid by creating an icon in the bottom of Firefox. Double-click it for details on what it found.
- IE Tab — if you have certain Web sites that only work in IE, give this a try. You specify URLs to open in a new tab that uses the IE engine.
- IE View Lite — great for developers who are testing a page in Firefox and want to quickly view it in IE.
- Link Checker — I find this one particularly useful for testing sites that have lots of external links.
- Web Developer Toolbar — an absolute must for any Web developer. Too many powerful tools to list, just install it!
