ESTABLISH ISCHOOL ACCOUNT AND VERIFY
UT EMAIL ADDRESS Assignment Title: Establish iSchool Account and Verify UT Email Address. Participation: Individual. Format: Email. Submission Method: Email to course emailbox. Maximum points: 1. Introduction: Several assignments in this course require you to have an iSchool account and to use it, so that you will gain experience in working in a Unix-based environment, setting up Webpages, and uploading and downloading files. This assignment provides an opportunity for you to gain some knowledge of the account early on and to set up UT email to your preferred address. The iSchool account is where you will post your Web pages and experiment with Pine, which is the UNIX-based iSchool email system. You may also set up an email account with the University of Texas at Austin (viz., mail.utexas.edu). If you choose, you may automatically forward mail from either or both of these accounts to your preferred email address. All UT students should have an email address on file with the registrar as part of their student records. This email address is used for all course communications from blackboard and electronic communication from the university. This address should be where you desire to receive course information and other information from UT. You may change this address online as often as you like.
