Humidification and mending
This treatment involved a pocket map of Texas printed in
1835.
It was removed from its cover, humidified, flattened and mended.

Backing removal and mending on an architectural
drawing
This watercolor presentation drawing was mounted on acidic, brittle
board. The board was removed, tears were mended and losses
were
filled. Areas were inpainted to maintain the integrity of the image.

Adhesive removal
This letter, written by Sam Houston in 1835, had
been previously
repaired with glassine and pressure sensitive tapes.
The tape and
adhesive stains were removed with ethyl alcohol and the
letter was
lined with heat-set tissue.

Silking Removal
This letter was lined on both sides with
silk. The silk
was removed,
and the paper was filled and mended
with Japanese tissue.

Lining removal on letter with iron gall ink
deterioration.
This letter was lined on one side with thin paper. The paper
lining
was removed. Once the pieces were realigned the letter was lined
with gossamer-thin heat-set tissue.
