We feel that the best way to learn about information architecture is to practice it. Each semester the UT - IAG searches for an organization that is need of an information architecture. Working with industry information architects we try to adopt processes that are used in industry. That way we will have the most realistic experience in how a project is done from winning the proposal to making the final deliverable. Also we draw upon our resources at UT to incorporate the latest trends from information science, user centered design, business management and computer science into our projects. Along the way we document all of our steps on this website so that others can observe our work.

If your organization would like to participate in one of our semester long projects please contact us at iag@gslis.utexas.edu.
