Dimi Macheras is graphic novelist hailing from Alaska. He is a
largely self taught artist, who has produced graphic novels telling
native Athabascan stories. His first three graphic novels,
Besiin, Tsaani, and C'eyiige' Hwnax, were stories that were passed down
to him from his grandmother, Chickaloon elder, Katie Wade. The
stories are part of the Ya Ne Dah Ah Stories, which will be a twelve
part series relating the stories of the tribe. |
