I am a recent graduate from
The School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a Master's of Science in Information Studies. I specialized in Archival Studies, and obtained a Certificate of Advanced Study in Preservation Administration through the
The Kilgarlin Center for Preservation of the Cultural Record. My aim is to find employment as an archivist, digital archivist, or preservation librarian at a research institution. I am especially keen to work with photographic or audio-visual materials. My other research interests include cultural memory, collecting, digital archives and libraries, the intersection between art and technology, and the role of museums, libraries, and archives in society. I have studied photography and its history extensively in addition to my undergraduate coursework in Philosophy, Religion, and Art. Here in Austin I worked in several repositories: the
The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History, the
Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, and the
The Perry L. Castenada Library.
