2006 Kilgarlin Center at UT Austin Austin, TX Teaching Assistant I assist Karen Pavelka with a variety of tasks including teaching, research, and paper lab maintenance. 2006 Alexander Architectural Archive Austin, TX Project Conservator I performed adhesive removal, stain reduction, and mending on linen and tracing paper architectural drawings, in preparation for digitization. 2005 Harry Ransom Center Austin, TX Student Technician I performed mold remediation
and dry cleaning on books, manuscripts, and documents. 2004-2005 University of Oregon Eugene, OR Preservation Technician, .75 FTE Along with a colleague and
several students, I provided conservation services to all University
libraries, and offered technical expertise on preservation and conservation
issues, as well as book repair, housing and reinforcement of paper-format
library materials. 2001-2003 Wellesley College Special Collections Wellesley, MA Student Assistant My duties included shelf reading,
dusting, treatment of over-oiled books, pulling and reshelving books, and
manning the front desk. This job required me to work with delicate materials
and maintain the high level of security necessary to protect the collection. 2002 The Cloisters Museum New York, NY Summer Education Intern I led groups of daycampers
on age-appropriate tours of the museum, and researched, wrote, and presented
an hour-long gallery talk for the public. 2000-2001 Davis Museum and Cultural Center Wellesley, MA Assistant to the Registrar I maintained the museum's
collection database, entering new information regarding the condition,
location, and accession number of items in the museum's collection. I
also performed occasional research. |
