Treatment Notes

This non-collection, matte silver gelatin photograph had a large scarf tear in the right hand margin, and a loss in the upper left hand corner. The tear was mended from the back with remoistenable tissue and then adhered within the scarf with gelatin. The loss was filled with toned 100# Western machine made paper. The purpose of this exercise was to practice mends and fills on photographs without working on collection material.
