Community Computer Center (CCC): The CCC (1998 - present), a project of the National City Public Library, is funded by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). National City is one of the United States' poorest communities; accordingly, the CCC was created to assist and inform local residents by providing access to computers and basic computer classes. To find out more, visit: <http://www.digitaldividenetwork.org/content/organizations/ index.cfm?key=27401>.1 Eastside Cybrary Connection (ECC): ECC (1998 - present), a project of the Riverside Public Library, furnishes free computer access and training to youth in a storefront branch library. Funded with a combination of grants and private money, the project aims to provide "empowerment through developing lifelong learning skills to close the digital divide gap." ECC has won multiple awards, including one from the Young Adult Library Services Association for excellence in afterschool programs. For more on ECC, see <http://www.cybraryconnect.org/>.2 Infopeople Project: Infopeople (1993 - present) uses federal funds to provide free public Internet access at all California public libraries, as well as to offer technology training to California library employees. Infopeople is funded by LSTA and administered by the California State Library. More information is available at the Infopeople website: <http://www.infopeople.org/>.3 Seniors Connect: Seniors Connect (1997 - present), a project of the Azusa City Library, offers a series of computer workshops for senior citizens in a low-income area. The project has proven so popular that the program is expanding to include a Senior Computer Club and a Senior WebBoard. Support includes grant funding from the Auen-Berger Foundation.
