Let’s insert a table.

You may notice that pressing return yields two line spaces instead of one. If you hold down shift while pressing return, you can achieve a single line break.

One way to insert a table is through the icon on the Insert Window. A window appears asking many of the same questions Word asks when inserting a table.

3 rows and 3 columns is fine, the width is 90% of the viewable area and the border is zero, that’ll work just fine. Click OK and viola, we have a table.

I’m going to add a couple of subject headings. “School of Information” in the first column, and “Austin Chronicle” in the third.
