Opening and Closing the Sidebar
Opening the Sidebar
- Open the View menu from
the top toolbar, select Show/Hide. On the drop-down menu, select
Sidebar.

Notice that Sidebar is essentially a
vertical file of tabs and links. By default, Mozilla's Sidebar will
only include a few basic tabs: Search, Bookmarks, and History.
Click on the content tab and the file will expand with more
options. The Search tab, for example, will open a search
engine.

Collapsing the
Sidebar
Once you've opened your Sidebar, you may want to
hide it now and then as you're browsing.

- Just click the right-hand edge of the Sidebar and the panel will
collapse itself.
- Notice the edge will remain in view on
the left-hand border of the browser window. Just click this edge to
expand your Sidebar once more.
Closing the
Sidebar

- Close out by clicking the X on the
top right of the Sidebar.
