Mini Player

To display a mini version of the iTunes window, click on the maximize button (the small green button with a plus sign) in the upper-left corner of the window. Click on the button again to return the player to its full size.

You can also close the iTunes window while you're listening to tracks. The program will continue to run in the dock without displaying the window. The mini player is more convenient if you want more control over which track is playing while working with other programs.
