Recording Podcasts

GarageBand is the perfect program for recording your podcast.   You can record spoken tracks and incorporate music, sound effects, and other background effects to enhance your program.

To record the spoken portion of your podcast, setup a Real Instrument track in GarageBand and connect a microphone to your computer.   Be sure to adjust the input volume setting in System Preferences - Sound.   Now, just hit record and start talking!

Don't forget that track effects can enhance spoken tracks too; give it a try.   GarageBand includes several preset Vocals instruments for Real Instrument tracks.
