You are now ready to start scanning.  Navigate to the start menu and to programs.  Under programs, 
go to Epson scanning and choose Epson Smart Panel.  Click on the light bulb icon to open the Epson Smart Panel. 
 The Epson Smart Panel will open.  Located on the Epson Smart Panel are buttons that allow you to do many things 
 with the scanner.

Today we are going to scan to OCR, but before we begin scanning, we need to make sure that we have the correct device 

selected. To insure that you have the correct device selected, go to the bottom right-hand corner of the smart panel, 
and under device make sure that the scanner that you are using is the one highlighted.

To begin scanning, go to the scan to OCR button and click on it.
