Title:Web-based Information System Evaluation & Redesign    [ more details ]
Submitted:2003-07-09 00:00:00
When: Spring 2004
Genre:Usability Testing
Salary:Unpaid
Desc:American Innovations (www.aimonitoring.com) provides remote equipment monitoring devices and services to a number of industries. We are seeking an individual to evaluate and, based on the results of the evaluation, redesign our internal web-based information system. The iSchool Capstone participant will be expected to conduct a usability evaluation of the existing system (employing both heuristic evaluation and user testing/interaction methods). The participant will then write-up his/her findings and present them to management. After the completion of the evaluation, suggestions for the redesign of the system (including wireframes, site architecture, style guides, and other deliverables to be negotiated with the student chosen) will be prepared and presented as well.
Apply:To apply or for more information, contact Mike Alexander at "mike.alexander@aimonitoring.com". Candidates will be contacted for interviews in the Fall of 2003, with work to begin in January or February of 2004.
