Rebecca Elder

Degrees:
BA, English, University of Virginia; MLIS with a Certificate in Conservation Studies, University of Texas.

Bio:
Rebecca Elder is an Adjunct Preservation Field Services Officer with Amigos Library Services, where she teaches book repair, photograph and audiovisual materials preservation, emergency preparedness, and best preservation practices, conducts site surveys, and reports on preservation conditions in client libraries, museums and record centers. She is also a book and paper conservator with Austin Bookworks. Rebecca received her MSIS with Certificate of Advanced Studies in Conservation of Library and Archival Materials from the School of Information in 2003 and carried out her conservation internship at Harvard College Libraries.
