1970sMary Ellen Scribner. '79, is spending her first year in Vietnam following four years in Beijing and three years in Moscow as librarian in international schools. Prior to that she was head librarian at Westwood High School in Round Rock, Texas for eighteen years. She says, "One would think that the summers in Austin would have prepared me a little bit for the unrelenting heat of southern Vietnam, but alas! they did not!"1980sMarsha Saucier, '85, is a librarian at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas.1990sAnn Harris, '98, works as an elementary school librarian in Buda, Texas.Jeff Rosen, '93, was recently granted tenure and promotion to associate professor and was named archivist at the Labor Archives and Research Center at San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California. Claudia Smith, '99, and her husband Nathen Hinson welcomed their son, William Henry Hinson on August 26, 2004. Claudia has published several stories in print and online. Mary Ettle, '04, works as a reference and bibliographic instruction librarian at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Caroline Gillespie, '04, was appointed as a reference and instruction librarian at the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland. Elizabeth "Libby" Peterek, '04, was hired as an information analyst for the Center for Instructional Technology at the University of Texas at Austin. Kari Roop, '04, is a school librarian at Brooks Quinn Jones Elementary School in Nacogdoches, Texas. Stacey Underwood, '03, works at Oak Hill Elementary School in Austin, Texas as an elementary school librarian.
[top of page] Salvador Anchondo, '99, passed away unexpectedly. He was employed at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York as a reference and collaborative learning librarian.
