Getting Help

Having computer troubles? Not to worry. There are a number of places you can go to get help.

IT Lab Staff - These people wear purple shirts in the IT Lab. In most cases, these are the people you will turn to first. The lab staff can help you signup for an account, change your password, get your web page on the server, explain how a piece of software works, etc. itlab-tech@ischool.utexas.edu

Shane Williams, Sr. Systems Analyst - manages all iSchool servers. Shane is our resident Unix/Linux guru. He manages the email and web servers and ensures that your online data is safe and secure. broot@ischool.utexas.edu

Carlos Ovalle, Information Analyst - oversees purchasing of computers, equipment and software for the lab; helps maintain the School of Information web site and provides technical support to the faculty and staff. support@ischool.utexas.edu

Quinn Stewart, Lab Manager - our distance learning, streaming media expert, and Lab Manager. Quinn oversees the tutorials on Tutorial Junction, promotes the use of IT in the classroom, and assists students with multimedia projects. quinn@ischool.utexas.edu

Kai Mantsch, Web Manager - Web developer and manager. Kai maintains the website and writes applications for the facilitation of faculty projects. kai@ischool.utexas.edu
