Dr. Loriene Roy is the 2009 recipient of the Leadership Award from the Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums Conference. She is recognized for "an exceptional ability to lead and inspire, reflected in accomplishments with broad impact in the archives, library, and/or museum professions."

Dr. Roy has also been appointed to Outreach Connections: Native Health Information Wiki advisory board at the University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center where she will work with an evaluation group that will look at usage data, stories about use, and the usefulness of content. The wiki provides Native people with wellness information.
