Sheri Miklaski to Represent iSchool at 2009 ALA

Sheri Miklaski has been selected to represent the University of Texas at Austin School of Information at ALA 2009 Annual Conference in Chicago. She will be working for the Office of Literacy and Outreach Services (OLOS) while at ALA. Some of her duties will include working at the Open Gaming Night, Diversity & Outreach Fair, and Coretta Scott King Book Awards Breakfast.

"Each year 40 library students from ALA accredited LIS prgrams are chosen to assist ALA staff during the ALA Annual Conference. In exchange for working about four hours a day, these students receive free conference registration, housing, and a per diem for meal expenses. During free time, they may attend programs and participate in other conference activities." (from ALA Student to Staff program website)
